New research has found Bovine Colostrum to be an effective treatment for acute diarrhea and can be considered an adjuvant therapy in both viral and bacterial diarrhea to prevent diarrhea-related complications.

Acute Diarrhea is a major health problem that can lead to morbidity and mortality in developing countries. An estimated 700,000 children died from acute diarrhea in 2011.
